Pigeon brings WhatsApp, Telegram and Discord into one app. It is built so your chats stay on your devices. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. If anything is unclear, email contact@pigeon.chat.
Your chats stay on your devices
Pigeon connects to WhatsApp, Telegram and Discord directly from your phone and computer. Your messages are stored on your devices. Pigeon’s servers do not relay or store your chat history.
Translation, and voice-note transcription where your phone supports it, happen on your device.
When message text reaches our servers
Message text is sent to Pigeon’s server only when you use an AI feature: summaries, drafted replies, the assistant, and Memory, which learns from your recent chats in the background. We use that text to give you the result you asked for.
To produce AI results, our server uses third-party AI model providers (currently OpenAI and Anthropic).
Memories are stored on your device. If you turn on sync, they are encrypted with AES-256-GCM on your device before they are sent, so they can move between your devices. You can pin or forget any memory.
Connected tools
If you connect Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Notion, Calendly, Asana or Fireflies.ai, we store the sign-in tokens for those services encrypted on our server so the assistant can act for you. The tokens never reach your devices. The assistant only sends, edits, deletes or forwards anything after you tap Allow. You can disconnect a tool at any time.
What we collect
- Waitlist: your email address, the date you joined, and the campaign or site that sent you (if any).
- Account: your email and a securely hashed password.
- Notifications: a push token for your device, so we can deliver notifications you turn on.
- Crash reports: technical details when the desktop app crashes, sent to our error-monitoring provider (Sentry) to help us fix bugs.
- This website: privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics (Vercel Analytics) that count page views and actions like joining the waitlist, without identifying you.
What we never do
- We don’t sell your personal data.
- We don’t use your messages for advertising.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete it, including removing you from the waitlist. Email contact@pigeon.chat from the address you signed up with and we’ll respond within 30 days.
Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California), you may have further rights, including the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Keeping data safe
We use encryption in transit, encrypt connector tokens and synced memories, and limit who on our team can access production systems. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell you promptly if a breach affects your data.
Children
Pigeon is not meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy we’ll update the date above, and for significant changes we’ll let you know by email or in the app.
